Charlize Theron - Acting and Modeling Tips

These images of actress Charlize Theron (right) were taken only four days apart. Learn what she did wrong in Photo A and what she did right in Photo B to get a great headshot.

Mistake 1: Charlize kept her chin low when she flashed a big smile, adding chub to her cheeks. To make your face look sleek, always keep your chin out and tilt your face straight forward toward the camera (not down).

Mistake 2: Her dark lip hue made her lips look small and blurred from the flash. Instead, stick with pale pinks with only a little gloss.

Mistake 3: Charlize went for heavy dark liner on her upper and lower lash lines, making her eyes seem smaller and squinty. Stick to natural-looking makeup for best results. Line only the outer edges of the upper eyes with a soft brown liner. To add white to the eyes you can also line the inside of your lower lash line with a white liner. Don't forget to blot your face with powder, shine always looks bad in photos.
