Sarah Michelle Gellar Plays Veronika And Decides To Die

Sarah Michelle Gellar will star as Veronika in the new indie movie, “Veronika Decides To Die.”

At 30, Sarah Michelle has everything that every successful person has – a beautiful celebrity face and body, a bright career in Hollywood as a professional actress, a loyal and equally gorgeous husband, and a luxurious lifestyle that always comes with her high social status in life. What makes her decide to die, then?

Sarah Michelle Gellar starred in the infamous TV series of the 90s as a teenage crime-fighter Buffy Summers in Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. She has also landed a lot of lead roles in top-grossing movies including Simply Irrisistible, Cruel Intentions, Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monster Unleashed, The Grudge, The Grudge 2, and The Air That I Breathe. She will also be seen in her upcoming leading-role film, “Possession.”

This year has also been good for the actress as she was launched as the new product endorser of a international skincare company and appeared in its skincare commercial in January. The next month, she was busy auctioning off naked photos of herself for charity, like many other top celebrities who pose for a cause. Along came March and Sarah signed in for a contract to play the role of Veronika in the inspiring movie, “Veronica Decides To Die.”

"Veronika Decides To Die" tells the story of a depressed woman who finds the zeal to live for another brighter days only after being admitted to a hospital with only few days to live because of an unsuccessful suicide attempt. The film is adapted from Paulo Coelho's best-seller novel. The film is set to be directed by Emily Young and produced by Sriram Das and Chris Hanley.

Casting calls have also been launched in New Faces for those who want to film with the radiant Hollywood star, Sarah Michelle Gellar.
