“Project Runway” Left The Network For A Lifetime!
The show that hooked a great number of fashion fans and style icons for five years has announced that “Project Runway” will be leaving the Bravo network. Fans need not to worry, however, because Project Runway will be moving to Lifetime network.
The fifth season of the show, of which casting calls have been done in the late part of March, is set for a farewell series on Bravo on July 2008. Being the owner of Bravo, however, NBC has reportedly filed a lawsuit against the producers of Project Runway for breach of contract.
Amidst this turmoil, its unclear if the fifth season of the fashion-competition show will be aired by NBC. Take it from the management: “NBC Universal regrettably had no alternative but to bring legal action to enforce its rights to this program, including the right to decide whether it is in the best interest of the company to continue to air the show under the proposed financial terms."
But if the show is moved for its sixth round success, then brace yourselves fans. As for the panelist and designer-mentor Tim Gunn, it will be business as usual as he decides who makes it to the top of the fashion competition. As for the German supermodel host Heidi Klum, she's got one piece of advice to suit the drama: fashion is about change.”
