Jen Hunter: Plus Size Role Model Against Anorexia

Jen Hunter is the Plus Size Role Model who would rather leave the catwalk than become sick with anorexia. As a curvy model, she became sensational when she chose to abandon the runway rather than become a size 0.

Gorgeous despite her "stocky" legs, it was still easy for Jen to find a modeling job after her exit from the catwalk, primarily because she remained confident.

Jen claims that she was once ashamed of her "huge ass" and "wobbly gut." After intensive counseling, she realized that "big can be beautiful" too. Despite the criticism she gets from people who are into skinny models only, Jen has maintained her successful professional modeling career.

Jen is 25 years old at present and a size 10-12 – a measurement already classified as Plus Size in the modeling industry. "At size 10-12, I can't fit into anything at Top Shop or any designer clothes, but there are lots of fashion outlets such as Matalan, Aldi or Walmart, where I can get clothes to fit me. I am a successful model in the fashion industry, albeit because of my freak value, and I want to send a positive message to other obese teenagers and young women out there." In addition, the British hottie says that there is far too much pressure on anorexics to remain thin.

At the moment, Jen wants to share her modeling success especially with British schoolgirls as she talks about anorexia. Jen Hunter believes that there's untold damage being done to young girls by thinking that being skinny is good. "There seems to be this race to see who can be the skinniest and it's just not healthy. Regular women are size 14-16 but what other people try to tell us is that abnormally thin is the way life should be. It isn't."

Thanks to Jen Hunter, there will be more gorgeous models who know how to appreciate their beauty despite being considered "fat" by the modeling industry.

Indeed, plus size modeling is definitely “in” these days with so many casting calls for plus size models. It has become one of the most popular casting calls for models to date.
