Finding The Perfect Fit As Jean Model
Take it from the expert: "The premise of a fit model is that you're a real person with real curves." This was shared by designer Paige Adams-Geller who was once in denim modeling herself and has worked for denim companies such as Seven Jeans, Citizens of Humanity, True Religion and more.
Paige started her modeling career as a runway model. Later on, she was sick with anorexia and had to stop working in the runways in order to cure her ailment. She found modeling career anew in jeans “fit” modeling. Unlike in the catwalk, she doesn't have to lose too much weight in order to attain the fit halfway between the clothes which are usually size 0 to size 12.
Thus, she regained back her health and still retained a career in modeling. As a fit model, she work directly with a designer and a pattern maker. She tries the garment on her body and together with the designer, changes and adjusts the fit for production.
Now that Paige successfully has her own line of denim wear, she spiritedly advices people that “Once women are comfortable in their own skin, they'll be comfortable in their jeans.”
