SEEKING:
FEMALE (41 to 50; Caucasian) - MOM. Red Hair a plus, but can be any color. Mom has had a few curve balls thrown at her during her time, and she’s always been prepared to bite those balls off at the punch. She is the worldly strength our main character relies on when all seems lost, and “giving up” is an attractive forethought.
MALE (6 to 10; Caucasian) - KID. A high-functioning autistic boy. He is a rap star in his own right, and his own mind! Like his mother, he doesn’t care what the world thinks or says, and he’ll let them know it. Mostly his autism is to thank for his blissful existence, but it’s also an inherent trait. He knows he is autistic; he’s high functioning, so he can speak and converse, and walk, but the social cues are lacking. But again, he and his mother don’t give a flying rat who does or doesn’t like it, so long as he is treated as an equal and given the same opportunities as other children his age.
FEMALE (50s to 70s) - PRESIDENT VAN DER SMOOTEN. She grew up in the Netherlands on a milk farm. To this day she wears her Dirndl (basically traditional ledehosen for women) during the weekends and longs for Oktoberfest festivals in Southwestern PA during September when she can wear her traditional dress in public. Van Der Smooten is the type of woman who always gets what she wants. Sexuality lacking, she uses her intellect and aggressiveness. She doesn’t realize her “aggression” is at best overbearing; to her she is simply “Passionate about my own opinions, and sharing intellectual ideas are passion at it’s most POWERFUL.
MALE (60s to 80s; Caucasian) - GRANDPAP. Italian American look. He is very lovable. Chubby in the middle and stick legged, Grandpap loves his family and is always jolly. He’s like a mall Santa without the fake beard. His face is full of expression, wide blue eyes and toothy (what’s left) smile, he is a pap-pap from the old country (Italy).
MALE (50s to 60s; Caucasian) - DAD. A bit of a daft thing. Not much going on in the brains department. Prefers to be ignorant in his own little world, in his little dead-end town … literally if you travel the length of the town (>1 mile) you’ll run into the river … but he DOES enjoy going into the big city. Pittsburgh. But not more than quarterly. That would be too risky. Pittsburgh is dangerous, after all. Not enough churches to keep the people normal, either.
FEMALE (30s to 40s) - DAD’s WIFE. Same as dad but female.
MALE (18 to 24; Caucasian) - BROTHER. This is the lead's younger brother by three years. They never had much in common but for sharing the same parentage, yet they still got along as kids and adults. Brother is the left brain, his siblings got the right. Where Pie Head was terrible at sports, her brother excelled. Where she was legally handicapped in Math, Brother was tested as genius.
FEMALE or MALE (mid-40s and over) - THE KANSAS BUNCH. 10 Hillbilly types. Improvisational skills a plus. Lovable men and women in their mid 40s and up. Can be a little short-sighted, but endearing personalities.
FEMALE (18 to 24) - LAUNA LUNA. She is a movie star in her own mind, even though she is an absolutely atrocious actress. She travels the world to follow her dream, even though she accumulates a lot of debt. She learns life's lessons in an endearing and comedic fashion. LEAD.
