Janozak Productions is casting Quintet/New York Stories, a production of five one-act plays: Beautiful Dreamers, Welcome to the Club, Duet in a Dimly Lit Room, Sharpshooters, and On the Merry-Go-Round.

FEMALE (appears to be 18, African-American) - FLORABEL. Mentally ill or developmentally challenged, an orphan, vulnerable, lost, in search of acceptance and care;
MALE (appears to be 15; Caucasian) - STOSH. Sweet, moral, hardworking, lacks confidence, fed up with verbal abuse from his father, idolizes his older brother Joe;
FEMALE (appears to be 25; Caucasian) - BUBBLES. A prostitute, street-smart, with a maternal instinct, looks forward to escaping her current lifestyle and starting anew;
MALE (appears to be 25; Caucasian) - JOE. AWOL from the army, has a history of questionable moral decisions;
MALE (appears to be 25; Caucasian) - SWEENY. Physically attractive and oozing sexuality, works as a handyman at a run-down boarding house;
FEMALE (appears to be 49; Jewish) - LUBA COOPERMAN. Brooklyn native, lies about her age and lusts after younger men, hopes to be swept off her feet, a bit hyperbolic;
FEMALE (appears to be 45; Jewish) - BESSIE JOHNSON. From Forest Hills, Queens, serene, accepts life as it’s dished out to her, makes the best of every situation, pragmatic, a realist;
FEMALE (appears to be 40; Caucasian) - FANNY. Owner of a boarding house threatened by redevelopment, tough, a virtuous façade hides her sexual desire;
FEMALE (appears to be 60; Caucasian). FANNY WILKINSON. Lives alone in a dark house, tough behind a hobbling exterior;
FEMALE (appears to be 50; Caucasian) - JOSIE JOHNSON. Poor, unemployed, a violent criminal.
