BBC Two Is Accepting Submissions For "Legacy"
Have you got a big family? Have you thought about writing your will but just can't face it? Are you unsure how to divide things fairly or worried it might cause conflict? Would you like some help?
BBC Two is making an ambitious and ground-breaking programme about inheritance, which will celebrate family life and explore the issues around legacies. BBC Two is looking to speak to anyone who has a story about their own family. Participants in the programme will receive legal advice from a probate specialist and help with making their will.
The lawyer will also be working alongside Sir Gerry Robinson, who will offer his own perspectives and advice.
Sir Gerry has a track record of helping families for the BBC. He has made two series in the past, helping family-run businesses, and he is keen to raise awareness about writing wills. "My family is the most important thing in my life," he says, "but I know how complicated family affairs can be. It can be tempting to put off addressing issues like this. But in the long run, that only stores up trouble."
Legacy is produced for the BBC by Talkback Thames TV.
